How TApply PFF Power Customisations To Your Computer

Summary:

To continue to maintain professional image to clients and partners, particularly when GFF computers are highly visible or participating in MS Teams meetings with external recipients, is it suggested that the following customisations are made to your computer and your user profile. These customisations included:


  1. Applying a new GFF Power desktop background image to your computer.
  2. ApplyingGFF Power Virtual Background image to MS Teams meetings. 
  3. Uploading a profile photo of yourself to MS Teams and Outlook. 


This document provides instructions on how to apply these customisations. 

How to apply the GFF Power desktop background image:

  1. Copy the file provided called “GFF Power Desktop Background” to your local “Pictures” folder:


  1. Right-Click on the Desktop:
  1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop (not on an icon or open window).


  1. Select “Personalize”:
  1. From the context menu that appears, click on “Personalize.” This will open the Personalization settings.
  1. Choose a Background:
  1. In the Personalization settings window, you’ll see options for “Background,” 




  1. Pick a Picture:
  1. You will be given options to choose a background. You can click “Browse photos” and select the file called “GFF Power Desktop Backup” that you saved earlier in your “Pictures” folder. If you cannot see this file, please contact IT Support.

  1. Apply Changes:
  1. Once you’ve selected the GFF Power image file, the changes should be applied automatically. Close the Personalization settings window.

How to Apply a MS Teams Virtual Background Image 

  1. Open Microsoft Teams:
  1. Launch the Microsoft Teams app on your computer, and select the "Calendar" menu option.  
  1. Either start a new meeting (select "Meet Now" and then "Start Meeting") or join an existing MS Teams meeting. 
  2. Open Background Settings:
  1. Once you're in an active meeting, click on the three dots (...) in the meeting controls bar at the top of the screen:






  1. From the menu that appears, select "Video effects and settings:

  1. Upload new Background image file. 
  1. You'll see a “Video Effect” tab on the right with various background optionsselect "add new" and upload the same the file called “GFF Power Desktop Backup” that you saved earlier in your “Pictures” folder and then ensure this same image is selected



  1. click "Apply".


Close the Background Settings:

  1. After applying your background, you can close the background settings panel by clicking the "X".

Upload a New Profile Photo to MS Outlook Teams

For Windows and Mac:

  1. Logon to the website https://aus.delve.office.com/ using your GFF Power Email address and password. 
  2. In the top-right corner of the window,  you'll see your existing current profile picture and your nameclick on your name and select "My Microsoft 365 profilefrom the drop down options:



  1. This will take you to your profile screen, click on the "Camera' symbol    and upload a suitable profile photo of yourself, and then click "Apply" once completed. 


NOTE:  Once your new profile photo has been uploaded to your MS Delve portal, this photo can take up to 48 hours before it is visible in MS Outlook and Teams.
